Among the most significant of Rajeev's modern adaptations. The life of Mahatma Gandhi rendered in shadow — a political and moral story told through a form rooted in devotion. First performed as part of Rajeev's commitment to making Tholpavakoothu a vehicle for social awareness.
The Story
Scripted by novelist Nandan, this performance covers Gandhi’s experiences in South Africa, his relationship with Kasturba, the Dandi March, and his assassination. It also pays tribute to the artist’s grandfather, Krishnankutty Pulavar.
